Custom Bathroom Furniture

Custom-made bathroom furniture is the only way to use every centimetre of a small room crowded with pipes and hatches. At the BauRaum workshop we build it from moisture-resistant materials with dependable hardware: free measuring, 3D visualisation, production in our own facility and installation by our own crew in Tbilisi and across Georgia.

01

Why a bathroom needs bespoke furniture

A bathroom is the hardest room to plan. Pipes, inspection hatches, a ventilation duct and non-standard corners simply leave no room for off-the-shelf units. Making the furniture to measure turns those obstacles into part of the design - the vanity routes around the pipe, and the inspection hatch stays reachable behind a cabinet door.

The second reason is storage. In a standard bathroom most things end up on open surfaces, which creates visual noise. A bespoke design lets us plan narrow but deep cabinets for cleaning supplies, drawers for cosmetics and an open niche for what you reach for daily.

Height is individual too: the vanity top is set at the level that is comfortable for you rather than at a catalogue standard.

02

What we build for bathrooms

The vanity unit under the basin is the centrepiece of bathroom furniture. It can stand on the floor or hang from the wall - the second option visually lightens the room and makes cleaning easier.

A mirror cabinet combines a mirror and storage in one plane; we frequently add integrated LED lighting and a socket inside it. A tall narrow unit, or pencil cabinet, holds towels and cleaning supplies.

We also make open shelving systems, cabinets that enclose a washing machine, and built-in niches. Where the project calls for it, the countertop can be quartz or engineered stone.

03

Moisture-resistant materials

Bathroom furniture lives with constant humidity and temperature swings, so the material logic differs from the rest of the home. Our main solution is moisture-resistant PVC board, which does not absorb water or deform.

Laminated or painted MDF is also used for fronts, with quality laminate board (DSP) and properly sealed edges for carcasses. Edge treatment is the critical detail: that is where damage starts if the technology is compromised.

The final choice depends on your particular bathroom - whether it has ventilation, how often the shower is used. We discuss this on site during measuring and select materials for the real conditions of the room.

04

Hardware that survives a damp room

Hinges and runners in a bathroom work in humid air, so cheap hardware loses its smooth action quickly. We work with Austrian Blum and with GTV: soft-close hinges, telescopic drawer runners and lift mechanisms for upper cabinets.

Blum is the premium solution and costs more; GTV is a dependable, high-technology alternative at a more accessible price. We go through both options at the 3D stage so you can balance budget against expectation.

Integrated LED lighting is a separate detail - inside the mirror cabinet, under the vanity or in an open niche. We plan the cable route at the design stage so nothing has to be improvised during installation.

Process, lead time and price factors

1. Free consultation and measuring - we record the exact position of pipes, hatches and sockets.

2. Free 3D visualisation - you see the furniture with its colour, texture and lighting; production starts only after you approve it.

3. Production in our workshop - a standard order takes 30-40 working days, a complex project 40-47 working days.

4. Delivery and installation - our own crew assembles and fixes everything on site.

The price depends on dimensions, materials, front type and hardware, with stone tops, integrated lighting and non-standard shapes as additional factors. Payment is 50% up front and 50% on completion, with interest-free instalments on Bank of Georgia and TBC Bank cards.

Q & A

Frequently asked questions

For wet areas we use moisture-resistant PVC board, along with laminated or painted MDF fronts and quality laminate carcasses with properly sealed edges. We choose the material for the real conditions of your bathroom: ventilation, proximity to the shower and the humidity level.

Yes. A wall-hung vanity visually lightens a small bathroom and makes floor cleaning easier. Before installation we check the wall type and its load capacity and select a fixing system to match, so the unit is completely secure.

Yes. We only need the model and dimensions of the basin at the measuring stage - the cabinet is planned around it, routing past the trap and pipes. If you have not bought the basin yet, we help choose the right size during the design stage.

Each quote is individual and depends on dimensions, material, front type, hardware and extras such as a stone top, a mirror cabinet or LED lighting. For a free estimate we need the dimensions of the room or a plan; consultation and measuring are free of charge.

A standard set is produced in 30-40 working days, a complex project in 40-47 working days. The lead time is counted from the day you approve the 3D visualisation and is fixed in the contract. All carcass furniture carries a five-year warranty.
