Made-to-order living room furniture turns the main wall of a room into one finished composition - TV zone, storage and open shelving in a single line. At the BauRaum workshop the entire cycle happens in house: free measuring, 3D visualisation, production in our own facility and installation by our own crew in Tbilisi and across Georgia.
The TV wall as the main composition
Almost every living room has one wall that everyone's eyes settle on. It sets the character of the room, so we start the design from the composition of that wall.
A TV wall combines several layers: a closed lower section for equipment and cables, open niches for decor, and upper cabinets that visually lift the space. Behind the screen we plan a cable channel so no wiring is visible at all.
Integrated LED lighting in the open niches creates a soft background glow in the evening and gives the composition depth. These are exactly the details that separate a bespoke project from a ready-made set, which rarely matches the length of your wall.
Display cabinets, shelving and wine bars
A glass-fronted display cabinet is one of the most effective elements in a living room: it stores and shows at the same time - a service set, a collection or souvenirs. We often add local lighting inside the glass sections.
A bookcase can be fully open and stretched along the wall, or combined, with open and closed sections alternating. The second option is practical: books stay visible while everything that should not be on show hides behind doors.
The wine bar is a category of its own. Our portfolio includes a walnut-toned wine bar combining a bottle section, hanging glass storage and a work surface. Such a bar can stand alone or form part of the TV wall.
Hallway and living room storage
A living room often opens directly off the hallway, so we plan the two zones as one project. Into the hallway unit we design a shoe niche, an open section for keys and bags and a rail for everyday coats.
Our portfolio includes a living room cabinet with a shoe niche - a solution planned on exactly this logic: the open lower level stays for shoes while the closed upper section takes seasonal items.
When an apartment has no separate utility room, the living room unit takes on another role: storing household equipment, documents and everything that should not sit in plain view. All of this is discussed together during measuring.
Materials, fronts and hardware
In living room furniture the front is what decides the look. Laminate board (DSP) is the most economical and practical solution, laminated or painted MDF sits in the mid segment and offers the widest colour range, and natural wood veneer - oak, walnut, hornbeam - creates a premium character.
We often combine two materials: a dark matt front on the closed lower section with wood texture in the open niches above. That contrast keeps the composition alive and responds well to the room's lighting.
Our hardware comes from Blum and GTV: soft-close hinges, telescopic runners and lift mechanisms for upper cabinets. These are the details through which the quality of the furniture makes itself felt in daily use.
Process, lead time and price factors
1. Free consultation and measuring - we measure the wall and record the position of sockets, aerial points and heating elements.
2. Free 3D visualisation - you see the composition with its colours, textures and lighting; production starts only once you approve it.
3. Production in our workshop - a standard order takes 30-40 working days, a complex project 40-47 working days.
4. Delivery and installation - our own crew assembles the units, fixes them to the wall and connects the lighting.
The price depends on the wall length, front material, glass and lighting elements and hardware class. Payment is 50% up front and 50% on installation, with interest-free instalments on Bank of Georgia and TBC Bank cards.
